DVL Salesperson's Permit Documents
For new people who are applying for a Salesperson's permit, you must take a knowledge test. The Handbook you will need to study for the test is available here for you to download. In addition, the Salesperson's Checklist, outlining the things you need to have to apply for a permit, and the Application for a Salesperson's Permit are also available here for you to download.
Note: If you are applying for a sales permit and are from a MMDA member dealership, you may be able to take the required Sales Person Knowledge Test online. Check with your dealership to see if you are part of the MMDA Sales Certification Program. Not a Certification Program member? Contact Bill Arnold, Certification Program Manager
If you require further information regarding these items please contact the Dealer
Licensing Section at (204) 985-0937 or Vehicle Standards and Inspections at (204) 985-0920.

As each detachment may have their own criteria for doing the
checks (i.e. hours of operation, fees), it would be best for the
individual to contact their local police directly.
