Motor Vehicle Industry of Manitoba Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing their Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Service, Collision Repair or Collision Refinishing Technician. Scholarships may be awarded to students at secondary and post-secondary levels and in the values of $500 to $1,000.

Sales Certification Program Scholarships

Two $750 awards are given annually for members in good standing of the Sales Certification Program and their relatives. Applicants must be full-time students from a recognized University, Community College, Technical Institute or other post-secondary institution for advanced learning. As well, applicants must demonstrate high ideas, leadership skills and qualities of citizenship.

Select Supplier Scholarships

The MMDA is accepting applications for 6 scholarships valued at $750.00 each. Awarded annually, these funds assist Manitoba students at a secondary or post-secondary level who are pursuing education that could lead to employment with a new car, truck or heavy truck dealership in Manitoba. This can be a high school trades program or a post-secondary area of study related to business. This can include, but is not limited to, Business Administration, IT, Human Resources, Communications and Marketing.

Red River College Bursary

MMDA has and ongoing endowment fund at Red River College which provides three $1,000 bursaries annually.

Georgian College – Canadian Automotive Institute

Since its inception in 1998, MMDA has provided scholarship money for this college. There are 2 scholarships of $1,000 each for students from Manitoba.

Assiniboine College Bursary

The Westman area dealers established this fund in 1999. Funding came from MMDA, the Westman area dealers and the Government. A yearly scholarship is awarded to an automotive technician.
